Spicy Barbecue Sauce (sugar free • gluten free • low carb • dairy free)

This sauce is good stuff.  Not to mention it's easy to whip together and you can save yourself the high fructose corn syrup and soy crap found in most commercial barbecue sauces.

To ramp up the spice without overdoing a chili flavor, I'd suggest using an Indian chili powder with this? It's pretty much my favorite spice lately...such a huge difference from standard grocery store chili powder...(I'm not sure if you like spicy spicy though?)

This looks pretty easy! When my husband and I were talking about things we could make from scratch, we were like "obviously, some things we'll just have to buy, like barbeque sauce and ranch dressing." But I'm learning that pretty much anything CAN be made from scratch, without taking hours. This will be fun to try when we use up the storebought stuff.

oooh Sarah, I bet the Indian chili powder would help rev things up a bit. I usually like my bbq sauce a little milder myself, but if I wanted it spicier for a certain recipe, I am definitely going to try it that way! Joe loves it spicy, so I might try a batch just for him.

Elsie, making condiments are so easy and they taste so much better! Especially making your own mayo and ranch dressing. It's the only way you can avoid the rancid oils they use in the commercial ones. Your tastebuds and body will thank you!

If L ever outgrows that pesky tomato allergy, I'm gonna have to try this one.
