The Munchkin's New "Big Girl Room"

We are pretty much finished with the munchkin's new room. It drives me batty that I can't paint the walls. It seems pointless though, since we don't plan on staying in this house for that long. Thank goodness for removable wall stickers! Atleast I can add some color that way. I decided to do a woodland animals kinda theme... I wanted to throw in lots of bold colors since the walls, her furniture and the awful carpeting are so light.

I may have mentioned my obsession with owls. My sister got her this little family of owls for her birthday back in september. Aren't they cute?! They are so small though, that I have kept them up high. I figured they wouldn't last long as toys, so for now, they are just watching over her room from their little perch on her shelf.

I absolutely love this saying from Dr. Suess. I want her to grow up really believing this!

For now, to save room and money, we decided to keep all of clothes in her closet instead of buying her a new dresser. I found a closet organizer on Amazon for less then $50 and it's working out great so far.

I brought up an old lingerie chest that I had in the basement that was storing crafts to keep some of her clothes in too.

We got her some new curtains and changed out the frames from my maternity pics. They were white before and blended right in with the wall. I actually am looking forward to her moving up to a normal size bed eventually. Then the pictures on the wall won't seem so far up.... I was trying to plan ahead though.  Right now I am using little storage cubes for her night stands since they are so low to the ground.

Now her old room next door, which will be the baby's room, is a blank slate. I can't wait until we find out the sex so we can get started in there! Less then three weeks away!

I love it!! John chose an owl theme for the new baby's room, too. Isn't the vinyl wall art awesome?!

So so perfect and cute! I love the wall decor, it looks much better than a painted room! Does she try to get up at night and play?
