I partially vaccinate my children, and spread the ones we do get out far. I did a shitload of research before deciding to do so. I HIGHLY recommend the book Just a Little Prick by Peter and Hilary Butler.
I just saw a story on the news about this today. Now they are finally saying that kids under 3 and pregnant women are not allowed by law to have any flu shot except those that are preservative-free. Good thing I drove all over God's green earth to track down a preservative-free vaccine for Logan last year before the law went into effect. My doctor told me yesterday that he highly recommends the h1n1 vaccine...but ONLY if they come out with thimerosal-free shots. We shall see.
Honey, make it a rule to NEVER ever watch Fox News. It's not news, it's sensationalist crap, and always has been. I thank god we actually have REAL news over here in the UK. Try not to let all this swine flu paranoia freak you out.. it's a lot of big to do over something that shouldn't be. Don't worry yourself- the body is naturally adept at producing its own antibodies. I've been around loads of people with swine flu over here, and I haven't gotten ill (not that I intentionally choose to be around people that are sick, mind you!). I'm sure you'll do what's best for you and little Ayla. Just do the research yourself, and try not to Google all the scare stories! x
I agree with Maggie May on the partial vaccinations and spreading them out-I think you read my post on vaccinations. Love the book by Dr. Sears. And, I'm sorry but I disagree with Myshka about Fox News-it's good to hear and see different viewpoints re: issues in our country and the world-notice he said he talked to other doctors who WOULD give the vaccine- I am not going to give or get this shot though! :D
don't pay any attention to FOX news. do your own research, sweetie - and don't panic... just relax and don't believe everything you see on tv - especially on FOX news.
